Control|24 is a control surface for Pro
Tools that brings together the superb analog sound of Focusrite hardware
and comprehensive control of Pro Tools software. A self-contained solution
that cannot be expanded, Control|24 is ideal for mid-sized professional
music and advanced project studio systems.
Channel Strip and Automation Section
With 24 touch-sensitive motorized faders, dedicated switching for
functions like mute, solo, record arm, channel select, and automation
modes, Control|24 offers hands-on access to nearly every recording, mixing,
and editing function in Pro Tools. Control|24 connects to Pro Tools via
standard Ethernet for maximum responsiveness and resolution.
This ergonomic controller also includes 16 high-quality mic/line
preamplifiers, making it an ideal analog front end to Digidesign audio
interfaces. Control|24 incorporates a mic pre design based on the
award-winning preamps in the Platinum line of analog processors from
Focusrite. It yields extremely low noise and distortion, and smooth sound
across a wide frequency bandwidth and dynamic range.
Focusrite Mic Preamps and Analog Submixer
Control|24 houses an 8-channel stereo analog submixer, making it perfect
for mixing synths, samplers or effects returns from your favorite outboard
gear. It also provides a wealth of patch points for routing audio to and
from Pro Tools, including two DI inputs for instrument-level devices.
The Editing Section
You can use Pro Tools zoom presets, perform edit functions, create groups,
and select edit tools straight from Control|24. The unique Channel Bar
takes advantage of the 24 channel scribble strips to display inserts,
sends, and plug-in parameters horizontally for editing with the rotary
encoders. Using fader Flip mode, the touch sensitive faders can also be
used to edit and automate plug-in parameters.
Communications and Control Room Monitor Section
The versatile control room and communications sections of Control|24
include talkback with built-in microphone, listenback, headphone amplifier,
and dedicated switches for monitoring of main output in stereo, LCRS, and
5.1 formats, plus an alternate output in stereo. It also allows for
instant soloing or muting of individual output channels directly from the
monitor section.
Control|24 integrates the best of analog processing with the latest in
digital technology — a winning combination that far outstrips the
capabilities of any digital recording and mixing system in its price range.
